About GiffyTea.
GiffyTea is a hand-built reaction-GIF search site. Every clip is cut from its original source at the exact line, the on-screen caption is verified to match the spoken audio, and each one is offered as both a silent GIF and an MP4 with the original sound — with a source link and rights label on every entry.
Most GIF sites give you a silent loop with no idea where it came from. GiffyTea is the opposite: 2,144 reaction clips that carry the exact quote, link back to the source, and — for 1,095 of them — play with the original audio, not just the picture.
How every clip is made
These are not reposts. Each one is produced by the same editorial process:
- Cut from the source. The clip is trimmed from the original episode or film at the precise moment a line is spoken — not scraped from another GIF site.
- Caption equals audio. The baked-in caption is checked against the actual spoken words by transcribing the rendered clip. The text you read is the line you hear — no paraphrase, no clipped final word, no caption over the wrong scene.
- Framed on the speaker. Clips are cut to open and close on the person talking, not on a cutaway, a title card, or the show's intro.
- Quality-gated. Every clip clears resolution, frame-rate, and file-size standards so it animates cleanly everywhere it's shared, including inline in messaging apps.
- Sound preserved. Where the moment has memorable audio, the original sound is kept in an MP4 copy alongside the GIF.
Rights and provenance, on every entry
Each clip is labeled by rights tier and links to its source. Reference clips are attribution-forward and not marked commercial-safe; a separate clean lane covers public-domain and cleared material. See Legal and the API for the commercial-safe filter, and DMCA for takedowns.
